# AHPP Table 10.2 seems off :: "Project Meeting" attendants

As far as I understand it, a “General Project Meeting: (AHPP) and a “Project Meeting" (BS) are roughly similar; they exist so that executive decisions about design and project direction can be communicated with the project team.
However -
AHPP Table 10.2 shows participants of a “Project Meeting” as including the Owner, Contractor/CM the AE team and special consultants.
Why would I invite any of these people to a Project Meeting if my intent was to relay to the team decisions _that these stakeholders were already familiar with, inasmuch as they were the authors of the decisions?_
Am I missing something?

Hi @aidenjh,
A project meeting isn’t just to relay decisions; it’s a collaborative session where all stakeholders (Owner, Contractor/CM, AE team, consultants) **hear** , **clarify** , and **document** decisions together. AHPP Table 10.2 indicates that the purpose of this meeting is for _project planning and general decision making_, which would be difficult if not all these parties are present.
Even if some participants helped make a decision, being in the same meeting ensures:
1. Everyone hears it in the same context.
2. Related issues can be resolved on the spot.
3. It’s formally recorded for the project record.

Ok. I guess I had a bit of a one dimensional understanding of the real utility of that kind of a meeting. Thank you for broadening my understanding.
