Greetings from JMA Architecture, Perry, GA.
Question #3 - can you elaborate a little bit on why proposing revisions to AIA contracts is usually wrong?
Yes we’ll bring this up to Chris, thanks!
Hi, on one of the quiz/ practice exam - there was a question regarding whose responsibility is it to make record drawings? The correct answer per the quiz was “contractor”. Aren’t architects responsible for making record drawings based on as-builts received from the contractor. Can you confirm?
State government agencies on state projects require architects to complete a certificate of final completion as well as material completion 30days prior for project closeout so this is required on these types of projects.
For the Kaiser Healthcare projects, we request as-built from the contractor, and we/AOR provide record drawings as the basis of service.
