PLEASE LOOK AT IT AND EXPLAIN The RFP is asking contractors to propose a fee for the Design Development (DD) phase services they will provide. Especially in CMc, the contractor may be involved during DD to provide services like constructability reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, and value engineering. Because those preconstruction services require time and staff, the owner asks for a proposed fee for that phase in the RFP. So the question isn’t asking how the GC calculates the fee in detail, but rather that the owner wants to see the proposed DD-phase service fee as part of the contractor’s proposal in order to compare teams and understand the project costs.
