# NCARB: ARE 5.0 Online Tech Issues

**Have you experienced any tech issues while taking the ARE 5.0 exams?**

For both online and in-person exams, if a candidate experiences three connection issues, the proctor will give them an option to reschedule the exam free of charge.

If a candidate experiences one or two connection issues that are each resolved within 30 minutes, it is expected that they continue their exam administration. This policy also applies to both in-person and online exams.
