Join the 60-Day Study Challenge: January 2026 Edition

Have the study guides been updated include the use of the real-world experience learning?

Hello there, I have two exams left (PPD & PDD). I took them both last year and failed them both (PPD I failed twice). I took a few months break and now I’m back to studying. Trying to stay motivated because 3 fails back to back was hard. After taking them both I wish I had studied for them at the same time because they are so similar and a lot of the context overlaps. BUT I don’t want to overwhelm myself since it’s so much context. Debating how best to move forward.

Thank you for all the information provided and the responses. Can I see the community chat on the ā€˜Black Spectacles app’?

Hello! I’m here for the challenge and passing the Exam. I was considering the Practice Mgmt and Project Mgmt for the first two objectives, however, today I’ve heard I should consider leading with PA, PPD, and PDD. Where do the Practice/Project Mgmt and Construction lie in the suggested order? Thank you.

Hey! We have a recommended timeline for each of the divisions that you can find at the bottom of this page about PcM. Our recommended order is PcM, PjM, PA, PPD, PDD and finally CE!

Hello im also studying for PcM and my exam is in the March 14 so ill be down to join!

I am studying for the PA and would like to join a study group as well if anyone’s interested

Hi All,

Hello for Los Angeles.

I’m planning on taking the PPD test at some point while studying for PDD. I have mostly completed the old PPD study materials but have not taken the test yet. I guess I should check out the new content but I don’t want to see my progress be reset :smiling_face_with_tear:

If anyone else is studying for PDD I’d love to form a study group! Or join PPD group.

For previous tests I was part of a study group outside of this site but using the Black Spectacles guided study content. I found that just posting weekly with progress updates and sharing how practice tests went really helped me stick to the schedule.

Hi All, Sarah from Wisconsin here. Looking to take the CE. Open to a study group!

I see the options for 30 day plans and 50 but not 60. Please help me navigate.

I was able to pass on first try using the 30 day guided plan. I did CE after completing PcM and PjM

Welcome @srosephillie! CE does not have a 60-day study plan, so feel free to select either the 30 or 50-day plan - whichever you prefer in alignment with when you plan to take your exam. Both will work great with the 60-Day Study Challenge! Happy studying

Hello, I am also studying PDD and interested in a PDD group.

Hello,

Joining the 60 day challenge for PDD. It’s my last exam. I’ve been using BS for a few years now; it has helped me with passing all the other exams.

I am interested in a PDD group if there is one.

Hi everyone! We’re so excited that you are here and part of the 60-Day Study Challenge. Congratulations on taking this big step towards becoming a licensed architect! :tada:

Thank you to those of you who have already left a comment here introducing yourself, sharing which division you are studying, and that you’d like to join a study group! While Black Spectacles will not be hosting study groups directly, we will help you all get the ball rolling so you can make the most of this community support.

If you are interested in joining a study group, drop a comment here! :white_check_mark:

I’ll be starting email threads on Wednesday morning to connect all who are interested.

Happy studying!

Hellooo

I’m Interested in a study group. I’m studying PDD

Hi! I’m not sure what the 60 Day Challenge organizers will do to facilitate formation of study groups on here but for now I started a message board on Padlet to share my progress on the PDD section. Join me

I don’t know if it’s a good idea but I used this platform for something like this before. The board is open to public so anyone on here can use it regardless of what we are all studying.

This is great! Thanks for organizing this @jangroza!

Tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, I’ll be starting email threads with everyone who dropped a comment here about joining a study group. That way, you all have each other’s contact information and can connect privately to communicate going forward.

Interested in additional PcM studymates

I am interested in a study group for PDD.
