PcM Exam – “Passed” on Screen, But Score Still Pending on NCARB

I took my PcM exam recently, and with about 30 minutes left, the testing center’s internet went down. After a 15–20 minute delay, the system came back online, but the timer showed only 22 minutes remaining. I’m not sure if I actually lost time or just misread the remaining time before the issue.

I rushed through the final questions, and at the end of the exam, the screen displayed “PASSED” in green. However, when I check my NCARB account, the score still says:

“Score is pending and will be available within 7–10 days of your test date.”

It’s only been 6 days since my exam, but should I be concerned, or is it normal for passing scores to take this long to appear on NCARB? What has everyone’s experience been with how long it takes for pass/fail results to show up?

Good Luck everyone!!

Hi @frj, I know it’s been a few days since you wrote in about this - have you gotten your official score report yet?

I wouldn’t be concerned about the processing time in relation to the result, as it may take 7-10 days for your score to be finalized regardless of pass or fail. NCARB states that the provisional feedback is an accurate predictor of whether or not your passed or failed, but it is simply pending the review of data forensics to detect anything out of the ordinary.

Fingers crossed that your result was truly a PASS! :crossed_fingers:t4:
