At what point do required revisions become an Additional Service?
Multiple preliminary designs are a Supplemental Service per B101 Article 4, but there is no hard definition of what “multiple” means.
In the typical design process, the architect is expected to react to directions from the client and incorporate those into the design as they refine it as part of Basic Services.
If the client gives contradictory information, requiring rework, the architect has to make the decision if it’s appropriate to ask for Additional Services. If the owner wants different design options, it’s best to establish these expectations upfront.
