I am watching this video and Mike says that our computers and houses use DC current. Homes use AC current not DC.

Hey @silk69 - You’re right, in the U.S. our electricity is predominately powered by alternating current (AC).
I think the video you’re referring to is titled ‘Building Systems - Electricity’. In this video, Mike is talking about how some devices that we use daily (such as computers) use direct current (DC). This is why most computer chargers have a small transformer on them - to transform from AC to DC current.
