can someone explain what “free cooling” is with an active mechanical system? thanks

Thanks for your question! Free cooling is used in lieu of a traditional chiller when the temperature of the air outside is cooler relative to the temperature of the interior space. Instead of using the traditional chiller, the cooler outside air is used to cool down the water which is then used to condition a space.
