How would septic tank location even affect the existing slope? Assuming septic tank cannot be installed on a slope site
@charmigajjar62 The concern is usually not that the septic tank itself will destabilize a slope, but rather that the installation and operation of the septic system can affect slope stability. Excavation for the tank and drain field may disturb existing soil conditions, and wastewater infiltration can increase soil moisture, reduce soil strength, and potentially contribute to erosion or slope failure. For this reason, septic systems are often required to maintain setbacks from steep slopes and unstable areas. So the issue is less about placing a tank on a slope and more about how the septic system could impact the long-term stability of the slope.
