Can a sole proprietor have an employee or is a sole proprietor one person only? In the workshop 2 weeks ago @coachrebeccasmith stated the proprietor is a single person with no other employees but I find questions that contradict this, I have the screen shot but won’t post the question because of the guidelines, let me know if you would like me to send you the question and how I should do that. What does everyone else think?

As a sol proprietor myself I can tell you that we are allowed to hire an employee. In order to hire an employee you must be sure that you have an Employer Identification Number (EIN) which you receive when you register your sol proprietorship.
