Question: Who is responsible for finding out capacities of existing utilities on site?
- Architect or Civil Engineer? or Owner?
I understand the overall concept that the Owner is responsible for “handing” the site (land survey, soil report, ESA report) to the Architect, but when it comes to specifics of finding out information on existing utilities I am not so sure. My assumption is that the Owner will hire a Civil Engineer to find out about what utilities exist on site (if not, part of land survey) and find out the capacities of those utilities > that information will be passed to the Owner > and then to the Architect?
