B101 is not a part of Contract Documents - so why does BS say otherwise?

The Contract Documents are those documents which create an agreement between the Owner and the Contractor, per A201 1.1.1, and they specifically exclude any contract that would create an agreement between any other parties, including the Architect:

A201 1.1.2 “…The Contract Documents shall not be construed to create a contractual relationship of any kind…between the Owner and the Architect…”

That would exclude, by definition the B101, which is erroneously shown in this BS diagram in multiple videos to belong to the Contract Documents.

Hey @aidenjh thanks for writing in! That mini document is erroneously labeled B101 - we’re working on changing it to say ‘supplemental conditions’. Apologies for any confusion this caused!

OK - good to know a fix is in the works. Thanks for your reply!
