Silly question, but batt insulation inside a cavity can count as continuous insulation correct? Additionally in the IECC is a Mass wall a masonry wall with a wood stud cavity? OR does that fall under the last category? @coachadamcoers

The continuous requirement pertains to the insulation outside of the wall cavity (I.e rigid insulation)
In terms of the IECC, a mass wall would be similar to a cast in place concrete wall.
