can an “exit” per chapter 10, be an enclosed fire rated stairwell? or is it only an “exit” if it is a door that opens directly to the public right of way? thanks
Hi @wildlandguy - the three components of an egress system are exit access (corridors, for example), the exit (stairwells, for example), and exit discharge (a walkway from the building to the road, for example). So yes, stairwells are considered an exit.
