When determining supplemental services for the B101 contract, and there is a question that asks “which services would the architect suggest”? how do we determine which answers are correct?
I understand that an architect has responsibilities for certain services, such as programming, their consultants, etc. and the owner has their responsibilities, such as land acquisition, civil engineers, and hazardous material items. However, when a question like this is asked, how do we select the correct answers based on whether its the architect’s responsibilities to perform the work, or if it’s the owner’s responsibilities?

Hi @christopherbwatkins92, thanks for your question! There isn’t a universal response to this question, as it really depends on the specific scenario presented. You’d want to consider the project type and scope, as well as other factors relevant to the discussion (i.e. services already provided by the owner). The question is less about who (architect or owner) is providing which service, but more about whether the service is relevant to the project or not.
Take a look at the answer explanations for both correct and incorrect answers in PcM Quiz Break 10, as we’ve provided reasonings for why each supplemental service should be suggested (or not) in relation to specific factors in the given scenario.
Hope this helps!

@kiaragalicinao Would this be considered an A/E (Analyze & Evaluate) type of question?
@Citrillion yes, this could certainly be considered an A/E type of question, as you’re required to analyze the given information, then evaluate services to determine which are relevant (and prioritize).
