I recently failed my PA exam and received an email to connect with a licensed architect to walk through my score card. I had signed up for a meeting with each of the two available architects twice each and all 4 times, the architects cancelled the meetings. I was never able to meet with anyone to help me learn why I was unable to pass the PA exam.
Additional, with the opportunity that Black Spectacles provides with a retake exam seat, does the user need to have a current subscription in place in order to qualify for this opportunity? (My subscription expires July 3rd)
Hi @christopherbwatkins92,
Thank you for reaching out. I emailed you each time a meeting was scheduled and the reason for cancellation. This one-on-one ARE Consultation is a one-time complimentary offering for our members - eligible to use only one time during the duration of your subscription (regardless of division). Our team met with you back in July 2025 for a consultation and as a result, you are not eligible for an additional consultation. As mentioned in my emails, we are more than happy to provide continued support to you via email and this community forum.
As long as you meet all other eligibility requirements for the Pass the ARE Guarantee, you can request a seat credit up to 30 days of your subscription cancelling, even if your subscription has canceled. See more information here.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Support Team at support@blackspectacles.com if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you for the quick response.
How would one initiate the process for the Pass the ARE guarantee in scheduling for the next retake?
